Planning for Public Health: A panel discussion featuring professionals working at the intersection of city planning and public health

March 8 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Cost: free

Many community health challenges are a result of city planning and land use. When first developed, these fields were one and the same — and recently, they are converging again. Now more than ever, planning and public health need to work together to effectively improve and protect the public’s health. How can we as professionals plan, design, and advocate to improve the overall health of our cities?

Please join UC Berkeley’s Planning Students Association and MCP/MPH students for a panel discussion with professionals who work at the intersection of city planning and public health. Panelists will share their experiences working at this intersection and discuss the importance of the need for interdisciplinary approaches to addressing many of today’s most important planning challenges.
