The Museum of African Diaspora (MoAD)

APA’s Northern California Chapter – San Francisco Activity Coordinator team in collaboration with the Diversity Committee invite you to join us to honor Black History Month at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) on February 26th, 2020. This will be a two-part event. Come join us for one or both portions of the evening.
At 4 PM, we will commence a private one-hour tour ($8pp) of the Museum’s current exhibitions, which include: Black is Beautiful: The Photography of Kwame Brathwaite; Don’t Shoot: An Opus of the Opulence of Blackness; Baye Fall: Roots in Spirituality, Fashion and Resistance; MoAD Emerging Artists presents Chanell Stone; and Rashaad Newsome.
The tour will be followed by a film screening (optional; $10pp) of the film series Black Power & Jazz from 6:30 PM to 9 PM.
Located in the City’s dynamic cultural corridor, MoAD’s mission is to celebrate Black cultures, ignite challenging conversations, and inspire learning through the global lens of the African Diaspora.
