The Planner I position is located in the Planning Department of the Community Development Agency in Hayward. Under supervision, incumbents are assigned less difficult planning and zoning projects and/or assist higher level staff members with more complex projects. Duties include: assists in conducting background studies for the general plan; preparing and assembling maps, charts, tables, and reports; conducts planning, zoning and environmental studies and research; assists in the reviewing, processing, investigating and evaluating development applications of various types.
