The City is seeking a strong manager with proven leadership capabilities to serve as the new Planning Manager. The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Urban or Regional Planning, Architecture, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of professional urban planning experience with at least one (1) year of experience performing duties comparable to a Deputy Zoning Administrator with the City of Mountain View. A Master’s degree will be valued. Membership with the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), or the ability to obtain membership, is strongly preferred. Candidates must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License. The annual salary range for this position is $123,763.64 – $160,892.87 (effective 7/1/18 and includes 4% COLA), DOQ. Compensation growth of up to twenty percent above the range may be awarded for meritorious performance in the role.
