Ventura County invites applications for a Commercial and Industrial Permits Section Planning Manager position with an excellent benefits package and salary range from $97,082.78 to $135,929.22 annually; salary dependent upon career experience and qualifications.
This management-level planning position performs duties such as: supervises and coaches a team of professional planners, manages professional planning staff that processes mining, oil and gas entitlement projects, functions as a member of the Planning Division Management Team, reviews new development projects and Planning Division policies, and prepares and presents oral and written staff reports at public hearings before elected and appointed decision-making bodies. Incumbents in this position may receive an educational incentive of 2.5% for an Associate degree, 3.5% for a Bachelor’s degree, or 5% for a post-graduate degree that is not required to work in the classification. The incumbent may also be eligible for bilingual incentive, depending on operational necessity and certification of skill.
