As a Senior Planner with M-Group you will have the opportunity to manage complex development applications for municipal clients in compliance with local zoning regulations, comprehensive plans and state laws including CEQA analysis. Planners at the Senior level will: conduct development and architectural design review; analyze graphic, technical and land use data; prepare and present findings and analysis; review applications for CEQA conformance and prepare CEQA documentation; coordinate and attend meetings with agency staff, project proponents and interested parties; prepare detailed staff reports, resolutions and findings; prepare and give presentations to decision makers and the public; conduct building plan checks; and provide and explain detailed information to the public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. The Senior Planner level requires a minimum of 5-years prior experience working for a local government planning department, preferably with a California City jurisdiction. At least 2 years prior experience required at the Senior level. A Master’s degree may substitute for one of the required years of experience.
