Join the California Planning Foundation on a spectacular sustainability walking tour of Cavallo Point at the Golden Gate Bridge and historic Sausalito on Friday, May 4 at 9am to help raise funds for planning student scholarships. From military post to a world class destination, Fort Baker has been transformed into a resort focusing on local food, health and sustainability. Come enjoy Cavallo Point’s spectacular views, distinctive architecture and beautiful grounds. Tour members will learn about how a public-private partnership preserved historic buildings and provided for adaptive reuse. Participants will also visit historic Sausalito and check out the sights and sounds of its magnificent waterfront, houseboats, and interesting cultural heritage.
