CPF names Northern Section’s 2019-2020 scholarship recipients

By Juan Borrelli, AICP, President, California Planning Foundation

Since 1970, the California Planning Foundation (CPF) has worked to further the professional practice of planning in California, primarily by providing scholarships to university students entering their final year of eligible undergraduate and graduate degree planning programs. Criteria for the scholarships include academic performance, financial need, increasing diversity in the planning profession, and a commitment to serve the planning profession in California after graduation.

This year, a total of 36 planning students from across the state are receiving 37 scholarships totaling $62,000. They include 14 students from Northern Section who will be recognized on Sunday, Sept. 15, at the “CPF Student Scholarship Awards and Professional Networking Luncheon in honor of Richard H.
