The Fall 2025 AICP certification maintenance (CM) cycle has begun for AICP members! Remember, you must complete and log 32 CM credits by December 31, 2025. Of these, you are required to earn at least one credit in each of the following mandatory areas: law, ethics, equity, and sustainability/resilience. Each mandatory topic must directly address current planning practice and involve an activity lasting at least one hour. For these sessions, at least one presenter must hold the AICP credential, and for ethics topics specifically, the majority of speakers must be AICP members. Make use of the online resources available to record your credits.

- Exam Window: November 3-30, 2025 (no fee)
- Submit Education, Work Experience, and Assessment:
- Opens Monday, December 1, 2025, at 9:00 am (CST)
- Closes Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 3:00 pm (CST)
- Apply: After passing the AICP exam and earning the required professional planning experience, submit your education and employment verifications and demonstrate that your experience meets the AICP’s definition of professional planning experience. ($305 fee)
