Calling all planners: Help shape “The Elephant in the Room.”

Join online listening sessions to help shape “The Elephant in the Room,” a 2026 APA California Conference workshop on ethical, community-based planning amid challenges to democracy, equity, climate action, housing, and public engagement. Your input will guide the workshop’s scope, content, and practical discussions. Co-hosted by PEN and CPR.

These 60-minute sessions are an opportunity to share concerns, experiences, and questions about the future of planning as the profession faces unprecedented challenges. Participant input will help inform the workshop’s content and focus, ensuring it reflects the issues most important to California planners.
