Building Community: Creating and Maintaining a Professional Network for Planners of Color This event is focused on cultivating a conversation with planners of color around their experience in planning and creating a safe, structured space for networking. San Jose State's Urban Planning Coalition proudly presents their 2019 annual spring symposium. This year's topic will focus on personal transportation devices (PTDs). There will be four panel discussions throughout the day, each including professionals and academics involved in this burgeoning field. Admission is free and open to the public (registration required) and breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Join APA for a walking tour around Alamo Square. The tour will last about 1-1.5 hours and will cover historic preservation topics in the neighborhood. After the tour, attendees are invited to join a no-host social at Fool's Errand. Sunday, May 5th starting at 11am Alamo Square in SAN FRANCISCO RSVP to secure your spot. Space is limited to ensure the walking group size is manageable. The exact meeting location will be sent to the first 20 people that respond.
