Samantha Wu Rose

Samantha is a current Master of City Planning student in her first year at UC Berkeley. Her concentration is in Housing, Community, and Economic Development and she is passionate about creating equitable and affordable places for all with a particular interest in affordable housing development. Originally from Portland, Oregon Samantha has grown up and lived in various cities across the US before moving to San Francisco in 2021 and falling in love with the natural beauty and eccentricism of the Bay Area.

Prior to beginning her journey at Berkeley, Samantha worked as a consultant with RSG Solutions serving cities and counties across California on a wide range of projects related to community and economic development from rent stabilization policies to public benefit agreements. As a student she hopes to deepen her knowledge of urban systems and develop skills that will allow her to continue to serve communities as a future city planner.
