Sanhita Ghosal, AICP

Sanhita Ghosal, AICP, is a Supervising Planner with the City of San José, where she leads the General Plan & Analytics team. With nearly 20 years of municipal planning experience, her work spans long-range planning, environmental planning, housing, environmental justice, sustainability, and climate resilience. A former Northern Board member, Sanhita has remained active in APA through various volunteer activities over the years. Originally from India, she has called the Bay Area home for nearly 25 years. She holds a Master of Urban Planning from San José State University, a Master of Engineering in Architecture from the University of Tokyo, and a Bachelor of Architecture from Bengal Engineering and Science University in India. Sanhita has a longstanding passion for training and professional development and a growing interest in the connections between planning, public health, sustainability, and community well-being.
