Register now for one of two in-person workshops scheduled for September
Registration is now open for the two in-person Plan Bay Area 2050+ workshops taking place September 12 and 18. These workshops are geared toward a technical audience — including local jurisdiction and agency staff, and other interested partners — to provide input on approaches to address Final Blueprint policy focus areas.
Workshops will include a morning and an afternoon session. Registration is required, though attendance at both the morning and afternoon sessions is not required. The content of the workshop on both dates is identical. Participants do not need to register for both dates. Complete details on each day’s agenda and registration are below.
Workshop 1 — Thursday, September 12, 2024
Bay Area Metro Center, 375 Beale Street, San Francisco
Register for Workshop 1 by September 5.

- Morning Session — Housing, Economy, Environment: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Track 1: Housing & Economy
- Track 2: Environment
- Lunch (will be provided): 12:00 PM
- Afternoon Session — Transportation: 1 to 4 p.m.
- Track 1: Non-transit Strategies (Freeways/Interchanges, Pricing, Complete Streets, Vision Zero, EVs, TDM initiatives, etc.)
- Track 2: Transit 2050+ Strategies and Draft Network
Workshop 2 — Wednesday, September 18, 2024

Each workshop will explore key questions on the four elements of the plan, such as:
- What are the most promising approaches for reducing affordable housing development costs?
- How best can the Bay Area further reduce per-capita greenhouse gas emissions from passenger vehicles?
- What types of transit service improvements are most likely to bring riders back?
- How can access to urban parks be increased in areas slated for high growth?
