The California Planning Foundation (CPF) is pleased to announce its 2025 scholarship program for outstanding planning students enrolled at eligible professional planning degree programs in the state of California. Scholarships are awarded to students seeking to enter the planning profession based on an application and selection process.
Applicants will need to apply only once. Applicants will be reviewed for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Scholarship recipients will receive notification in August and will be honored at the Student Awards Luncheon on Sunday, September 28, 2025. This event takes place during the 2025 APA California Annual Conference in Monterey, CA on September 28-October 1, 2025 (Sunday to Wednesday). Winners may also be recognized at individual events sponsored by local APA California Sections. Note that some of Sunday’s conference sessions will be specific to students. Those sessions as well as the Student Awards Luncheon are free to students.
This form makes use of Google Drive to store attachments that applicants upload (e.g., recommendation letters, essay responses, etc.). Applicants will be required to log in using their Gmail/Google Account. If you share a file from your Google Drive account, no member of the California Planning Foundation will have access to that file on your system. The system creates a copy of the file and stores it in the CPF Drive. Your Google Drive is never accessible to CPF. You can also simply upload a file from your computer without it being in Google Drive, but you still need to log into your Google Account.
Please review the contents of the application form below to ensure that you have all materials ready to submit and are familiar with the questions on the application. The form will automatically save responses and you can edit responses, but you will not be able to change files that have been submitted. If you need to change a submitted file, please contact Hilary Nixon, Ph.D. at hilary.nixon@sjsu.edu.
If you have any questions, please contact Hilary Nixon, Ph.D. at hilary.nixon@sjsu.edu.
