Afshan Hamid, AICP

Afshan is Planning Director for the Town of Moraga and oversees long range and current planning with 20+ years of experience. Previously as Planning Manager for the City of Vallejo, she led the zoning code update, development process improvements and advanced and current planning efforts. Hamid is known for her efforts in working with communities and building consensus on challenging projects. Before that, she worked for the City of Concord, City of Walnut Creek, Village of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Skidmore Owings & Merrill. She holds a MA in architecture from MIT and a BA in industrial design from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Hamid, her husband, and their two daughters live in the Town of Danville.
