Aarthi Padmanabhan
Passionate and creative, Aarthi’s work explores the nexus between sustainable urban design and climate resilience. With a strong background in academic research and project experiences, she is a researcher and educator investigating nature-based solutions and decarbonization strategies in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has graduate degrees in architecture and urban planning from the University of Hawaii. Her skills and work experience span a range of critical areas, including biophilic design, energy efficiency, human thermal comfort in indoor spaces, and the integration of nature into built environments.
Aarthi has an interdisciplinary understanding of how sustainable strategies can simultaneously address environmental, economic, and social objectives. She envisions a greener future for all: dynamic, hopeful and brimming with novel solutions that sustainably and beau-fully harmonize with our natural world.
Some of her non-work time is usually spent with her favorite people and her favorite activities: swimming, reading, yoga and painting. She also enjoys hiking and dabbling in music.
