Under the general direction of the Director’s Office of Equity & Tribal Affairs Supervising Transportation Planner, the incumbent works in a lead or supporting capacity, on a range of engagement related projects and services. Incumbent helps to ensure that the Department’s transportation planning through project delivery functions are incorporating equitable engagement principles and practices. The incumbent supports the development of equitable engagement guidance, tools, and training; provides support to the Caltrans Engagement Portal Program Manager and Statewide Community Engagement Program Manager; procurement/solicitation and contract document preparation; lead roles on legislative analyses and other State or federal documents; workshop and meeting facilitation; preparation of reports, guides, and procedures; topical research and analysis; consultation and coordination with other offices, the districts, and other divisions, and other duties as assigned.
