LCI Planning Guidelines Update: Regional Workshop

The Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation (LCI) is updating California’s General Plan, Specific Plan, and Tribal Consultation Guidelines (collectively known as the Planning Guidelines). This update will provide essential tools and resources that guide how communities plan for growth, resilience, and inclusion. We need your expertise and experience to ensure that the Planning Guidelines reflect California’s diverse planning needs.

During this regional workshop, the LCI team will provide an update on the guidelines and a summary of the ideas generated thus far in the engagement process. Participants will be divided into groups to provide feedback and suggestions on how the Planning Guidelines can be tailored to the specific needs of California’s diverse community sizes, levels of staff capacity, and political climate.
