The Transgender District in San Francisco covers six blocks in the Tenderloin, highlighting significant sites related to trans activism and artistry. The tour explores the area’s history, resilience, and community, guided by jj Dollarhide, a trans educator and native, and Megan Rohrer, a noted social justice advocate and author. After the tour, attendees can join for lunch and a discussion about the experience and Rohrer’s book on the district’s history.

JJ Dollarhide (he/him) is a trans masculine individual and San Francisco native who works in education and partners with other trans individuals to share their stories. Megan Rohrer, PhD and DMin, is a social justice influencer known for their advocacy with the homeless and LGBTQ communities who has been featured on Netflix's Queer Eye, Cosmo, People and publications around the globe. His latest book for Arcadia Publishing's Images in America Series tells the history of San Francisco's Transgender District with historic images from the 1880's through the present and is a #1 New Release on Amazon.
