Street Plans is an award-winning transportation planning, urban design, and placemaking practice. Founded in 2009, we believe that the key to building great towns and cities requires the creation of active, safe, and human-scale streets and public spaces. Location: San Francisco Bay Area
Who We’re Looking For
- An early-stage professional with 1-3 years work experience and expertise in architecture or urban design
- Already based in the SF Bay Area and/or planning or willing to relocate
- Comfortable working remotely and a willingness to meet at a shared office/co-working space up to 2-3 times a week
- Willing and able to travel to Bay-Area project sites for in-person meetings with partners, clients, or colleagues up to 2-3 times per week (typically in lieu of in-person office days)
Duties
- Help develop technical and design drawings that meet project deliverables
- Support project management and design team with project tasks
- Support preparation of analysis, studies, presentations, proposals and reports, including graphic design and layout
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentationAssist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis
Requirements
- Proficient with the use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Illustrator required, Photoshop a plus)
- Possessing intermediate to advanced level visualization skills in additional key software programs (AutoCAD as highest priority, with Rhino, Revit, or other comparable parametric design software being secondary)
- 2D graphic design experience and interest
- GIS skills considered a plus
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge in drafting/modeling programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, etc.,
- Expertise in post-production programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, V-Ray, Lumion etc.
- Strong verbal and visual communication skills for presentations and coordination of projects,
- Experience with GIS is a plus
- Experience with Tactical Urbanism /project implementation is a big, big plus!
Salary and Benefits
- $55,000-$65,000 annual salary based on skills and experience
