Mariah Padilla

UC Berkeley Student Representative

Mariah Padilla is passionate about environmental and climate justice, climate resilience, and is dedicated to helping create a more inclusive and intersectional climate movement. She is excited to bring a student/emerging planner and woman of color perspective to the Northern California Section!

Mariah is currently working towards her Masters of City Planning at UC Berkeley, where she is an Arcus Social Justice Corps Fellow. She graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development and minors in Public Health and Climate Science and Policy. Prior to graduate school, she worked for the California Governor’s Office of Planning and Research as a Climate Resilience Assistant Planner working on projects related to tribal climate resilience and sea level rise and coastal resilience planning. Mariah is currently a Management Intern for the City of Oakland Planning and Building Department and a Resilience Fellow at Greenbelt Alliance.
